First Rolling Stock Arrives
The first item of rolling stock to arrive at Long Houghton is Dave Shell’s Southern Railway hand crane. Entry into the yard was slightly more difficult than expected… removal of a section of fence and several bushes was required to get the Aleleys truck onto site.

Laying the first track
Today a small group of volunteers broke the earth at our newly aquired Long Houghton Goods Yard.
After lots of sweat and toil we managed to lay our first section of rail to facilitate the arrival of our first rolling stock to site next week.
