Working Party Report
There was a work party at Longhoughton Goods Yard. This was attended by BS, DMS, KSW, WS, KM. Another engineering possession, with the worksite just north of Longhoughton, meant no trains passing today. Dave and Baz had a look at the Ruston 48DS in order to refit the filters, pipe work and the starter, while Kay gave the ticket cabin a touch of paint. After dinner we were joined by William and Ken and after some more fettling of the engine we shorted the starter solenoid and she roared into life, firing on all 4 cylinders.
