Working Party Report
Longhoughton Goods Yard - BS, DMS, KSW, MM, A quiet day, confirmed at the last minute… We mainly spent the day tidying up the side, burning materials that I had felled on an earlier occasion. We also removed the doors from the Jones crane to enable their repair and the cleaning of the mechanics. A few trains passing today – most giving a hello blast on their horn (Cheers lads – it is appreciated!); a surprise today was the passing of the EWS Company train (also tooting!) A second surprise was a low loader from British Contractors Plant delivering a Rexquote/Komatsu PW150 Super Railer ready for a possession over the weekend

Working Party Report
- BS, DMS, Despite the snow the workday took place. The Jones crane has been delivered to site, and a start was made on stripping the mechanisms in order that they can be freed and cleaned up. We also had a look at the large crane to try and solve the slewing issue. The main problem has been identified – a collar that carries the rollers for the main body is seized solid.
