Category: Longhoughton — dmshell @ 12:00 am

Longhoughton Goods Yard - BS, DMS, IC, TS, KSW, MH, laying out sidings; cleaning the Mk 1 roof; rubbing down Mk 1 sides; rewiring 48DS; continue overhaul of dumper; check over rail crane; tidy access road and yard; check over Mk 2 coaches, Baz, Dave and Ian modified the tempory hi-viz mesh fence at the top on the Network Rail road. Tom tweaked the dumper and tidied up rubbish, etc. from round site. Kay applied a temporay coat of paint to the Mark 2 TO to cover the graffitti. A start was made on moving newly aquired rail (cheers NwR!) to the stock pile. Mark arrived and he and Dave popped over to Boulmer to collect some more spare wood, returning at Lunch time. After lunch we continued moving track materials to the correct stockpiles. Tom and Baz then had an operations meeting to decide how to go about installing a modified gate to accept large low loaders, and then then set about tidying the Northern end of the site. Dave & Ian helped Kay sweep about half of the TO clean of shards of glass (from the windows).
