Working Party Report

Category: Longhoughton — dmshell @ 6:11 pm

Some new tools were delivered. The wooden sleepers from the latest stack to be dismantled were stockpiled. Some F27s were moved to be more accessible – it was after this that this went downhill – literally…

The Atlas hit a patch of loose ground on a slope and due to the slew lock on the arm having been disengaged by a previous owner there was no real way to stop it sliding down the bank – Baz did his best to arrest the fall and stop it from toppling. The tractor and Mitzi were used to try and pull it to a better position but to no avail – these items got stuck themselves. Both Mitzi and the tractor have now been extracted and the Atlas has been made as safe as possible (it had not moved overnight) until reinforcements can be called.
