Cawledge Viaduct - Grant Awarded for Survey

Northumberland Coast AONB have awarded a grant (75% of £1500) to employ AECOM to undertake a survey on the Cawledge Viaduct and report on the work necessary to bring it back into service. We can then use the report to raise grant money for repairs.

The article tells the reader that steam trains could be running within five years between Alnmouth and the A1 at Alnwick, with the rail enthusiasts looking at creating a commuter service once the tourism route is up and running. Planning Application Now In!

The planning application for Phase 1 of the project was handed in to Northumberland County Council by Martin Robinson on 02 Dec 09. Fingers crossed for a successful outcome and well done for all the hard work by those involved.
